Hi,
Food for thought for many in India during this Summer.... When I was in US, psoriasis used to get aggravated during Winters. I returned back to India and psoriasis used to get aggravated during Summers... used to, not anymore, mind you :)
Anyway, its the extreme climate that effects Psoriasis. It's Extreme Cold in US and it's Extreme Heat in India.
How do I tackle this ? In India, during Summers, I consume coconut water, lassi (=yogurt blend) etc. At the same time, avoid food that gives you lot of heat, like eggs, chicken, deep-fried food (and may be coffee) etc.
Similarly, if I had to go back to US during Winters, I would do lot of jogging and weight-lifting to keep my body warm (nah, you can't think of scotch whiskey to keep the body warm). And I would try adding spices like black-pepper to food.
Of course, it can depend on your body-type and current food-habits too. For example, 2 people living in same city might face tough time in different seasons - one in Summer and the other in Winter. In this case, one person might be susceptible to cold whereas the other might be to heat. So we may need to choose food carefully depending on how our bodies are reacting to different seasons.
To conclude, if heat is causing a problem, then staying in air-conditioned rooms and consuming supposedly cold-giving items like coconut-water and lassi can be helpful. May consider chandra-bheda pranayam. On the other hand, if cold is causing a problem, then indulging in jogging, weight-lifting or any sport and consuming spicy food can be helpful. May try surya-bheda pranayam.

Hi John. Good work on the blog. Did you fully recover? Did you still have the scars left by the old patches which has cleared?
Hi Christine,
